Re: How do I pull further onto the trailer?
Loosen the hook before doing the bump. If hook is tight it won’t slide. Discovered this trick about 12 yes’s ago.

M rear mast holder for an X
Has anyone done this? I would like to install a M style mast support instead of the mid cockpit pole on an X. Anyone do this or any suggestions. Thanks for any advice.

Re: That darn swing keel on my 26X
The hangar bolt is inside the cabin near the keel line uphaul pole. The problem is the bolt has a nylock nut on it and is likely gooped up with a large amount of 3m 5200 or 7200. So do the best you can to get rid of the excess goop. The hardest part is pusing the hangar bolt thru. The best way to do...

Re: 26x OEM steering binds in one direction
I have a 99X and had same problem. When turning if you look at the linkage bars in the transom well you will discover that the end of the bar on the left butts up against the hull where you walk thru onto the boat from the ladder. Unfortunately the connecting pivot pin is at the end of the rod so yo...

Re: AC Outlets?
I have used a honda 2000i for 9 years. I live in Las Vegas and spend time on Lake Meade and yesterday was 116degrees outside and surface temp probably over 130. I have mounted a 8000 btu a/c and connect to a shore plug that I installed 11 years ago. Have an onboard dorm refrigerator and small microw...

Front hatch to anchor locker mod?
I want to modify an a/c install. I have an a/c widow unit installed and attached to the front deck on top of the anchor locker and have I insulated tubes extending from the air vents into the interior thru the front hatch new the bow windows. This works fine at temps <100 degrees but is no good at 1...

Re: Damage to keel, any idea what this bolt is?
Hello, I've seen damage like that from the top pin of the hangar banging against the "nose" of the center board (meant to act as a stop, holding the center board at an angle). Sometimes from adding weight to the center board and letting it drop quickly or from hitting something while goin...

Re: installing new front windows
I own a 99X and got my windows from BWY. The windows already had slight preshaping. A good tip is get some black 3m flex sealant and although is expensive will not crack or leak long term. I live in las vegas and the windows get extemely hot in the intense sun and on 1st install used high quality wi...

Re: 26X swingkeel
The easy way is to start your engine and put it in reverse and move straight back. If that doesn't work turn side to side while backing. Either the rope knot or the slide hinge is hung up and this technique usually works for me.

Re: 1996 Macgregor 26x rudder replacment
I would be interested in your old brackets and rudders possibly :D also. Need to change out starboard side rudder attach bracket as high wind gusts slammed that rudder into dock while docking. Bent existing bracket everything still works okay but would just as soon replace if you have same type brac...

Re: porthole replacement - forward deck
just replaced both my "front windshields" with BWY windows. make sure to remove all old sealant and prep original surface. Also since there is a "bow" in each window you will struggle some to line up all 6 holes so suggest inserting finish nails into each hole to align and then u...

Re: Steering Cable Replacement
Just a word of caution on the velcro. We are in las Vegas and the radiant sun heat and also high temps causes the vecro adhesive to melt or turn brittle over a short time and it fails to adhere. The velcro itself stays together but the sticky backs fail. Hate to have you do a great install and have ...
