I'm sure most of you are suffering from poor conntectivity from your trailer connectors. Those cheap 5 pin connectors rust and are useless after maybe 2 or 3 months of use. Well I decided to do something about it and I just discovered ezconnectors!
I ordered the S7-05 female socket (part number S7-05) and also the trailer side hookup S7-07-6 = $136 after shipping and handling
You will also need the B-S7-61 mounting brack and a mounting bracket on the trailer side (B-S7-63)
I also ordered an adapter so I can still tow old style 5 pin trailers. P-R7-55.
Over all very impressed with the setup. It uses double o-ring seals to prevent water from touching the contacts while submerged and also in storage. It also uses magnets to hold the connection while trailoring. I swear this is the LAST trailer connector you'll buy unless you buy a new vehicle.

Re: Trailer connectors
I spray metal and connectors with BoeShield. Invented for Navy jets, I guess I can use it too. Available at WM and other outlets.
I also coat just about everything under the hood of my car also to prevent corrosion.

Re: Trailer connectors
My cheap connector has been working for 4+ years now and I have sprayed nothing on it but spit when I plug them together.

Re: Trailer connectors
I rewire the trailer stem to stern every two years using off-the-shelf automotive parts store trailer light kits and tie straps for about $50. Faster and cheaper than troubleshooting the invariable corrosion issues, and there's zero point in doing anything expensive thats just going to corrode anyway. Cut everything off with tie straps, re-wire and tie-strap the new stuff down, wire on the new connector (7-pin for me), and done. Takes all of ten minutes when the boat's off the trailer.

Re: Trailer connectors
guess I got too much money then. I do like the fact that the connectors are water proof and my vehicle side won't suffer any corrosion. I'm also super lazy so I doubt I will spray T9 very often. However thanks for the advice about the T9. I ordered some just in case. Just glad to see there are options are available and I thought I'd pass it along on this forum. If I knew about this earlier I would have bought it a long time ago.

Re: Trailer connectors
I love this stuff

Got the tip from Divcoz and I use it anywhere corrosion or connectors are outside. Even use it indoors sometimes.
