Looking over my new 2005
I see that the mast wire connector is broken. Does this require a whole new wire and plug or just a new plug? A bit of googling suggests that these are universal plugs.
(You’re dealing with a real newbie here, so assume a lot of general boat/electrical knowledge if you reply)

If you wire is long enough, just a plug. My foot has ripped the wire out a few times over seventeen years.

It'll be fine. Just means your Spotify playlist will only be in mono.

I assumed this was a wire for the light on the mast.

And today you learned there are people who know less about boat electrical systems than you.
(I am of zero - possibly negative - usefulness here.

This is the replacement plug.
That plug goes to the steaming light for use while under power at night.
BTW...when later you decide to install an anchor light on top of the mast, you can use the same plug and 2 wires with a diode to control both fixtures.
That's how I did it.
