You can see mine there. It has its own light and slips into its harness so it doesn't have to stay on deck when its not needed or for hand bearing.

That's a nice one - do they make a bulkhead mounted one that is flat? Is that possible?

(Isn't it really cold up there in the Great North West? Do you see the Northern Lights at night? Any UFO's?)

Mistress's engine was test run yesterday. She purr's like a.... 8hp Nissan...
That was the only major hurdle before putting her on the water in mid-April. Everything else is window dressing.

It's been a bit since I posted here about Mistress and her ongoing mods/changes/upgrades. Since pictures are worth a thousand words.......

One of the first major mods I did on the interior was to cut an access hole on the bow, and I'm glad that I did. The flotation foam there is falling apart and needs replacement.

The mess here was stripped out in favor of woodwork like some other owners have posted:

Changing to LED lighting throughout the boat. I haven't been able to find LED festoon lights for the nav and anchor lights or for the little lamp atop the mast

Checking out the rigging: All looks good!

The wiring is still a gawd-awful mess. I'll get to that someday....... 8)

Nice work!

One tip on the table, though... The rim around the table is smart on a boat but you might want to leave at least one corner un-trimmed so that crumbs may be swept off. Here's how I did mine:

I'm not clear on which is what, but if there's a little light on top of the mast, that would most likely be the anchor light, unless it's aimed upward and lighting the Windex (if you have one. The one on the front of the mast is the masthead light, aka 'steaming light', used only when under motor power.

Dr. LED has a bulb interchange chart which may be helpful, if you can identify the nav lights on your boat. Many here have replaced festoon bulbs, both pointy-tipped and flat or hollow ended, so I'm sure someone can advise as to the particulars. Probably help if you posted a pic of the bulb(s). https://doctorled.com/crossref.htm

The small lamp atop the mast is marked 1892. It resembles a lamp for an old D-cell flashlight. I didn't see it on the list. the base is ~ 8mm Ɵ, 15mm from base contact to the rim.
My festoon bulbs are all 44mm pointed end units. The only economical ones I have found are made for dome lights, they don't cast 270° coverage.

EDIT*************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

I was researching these bulbs on the 'net, and a familiar package appeared on a Google search, so I walked out to the garage and there it was....that little bulb I've been looking for over half of San Antonio..... It's been in it's original package for over 4 years while the "other" hobby is undergoing professional body work and new paint:

An 1892 bulb is only 2W, which doesn't sound like it's enough for an anchor light, which is supposed to have 2nm visibility. Might be from a Davis Mega Light. But there are all-round LED's with the same BA9S base and adequate intensity for a 2nm white light. I believe even West Marine stocks them. Might not work with a Mega Light, though, as they have a built-in photocel. If that's what's up there. Dr. LED's Polar Star would be the replacement on that list. http://www.westmarine.com/buy/dr-led--p ... --14982078

The 44mm Festoon Star is rather pricey, though. http://www.westmarine.com/buy/dr-led--f ... --13010061 Remember that you don't really need to use an LED for the masthead (steaming) light, since it's only used when the engine is running. If you wanted to save some money, that is.
