Hi,
Our main requirement for shore power is the heating in winter, we intend you use the boat all year, I also prefer to sail and this doesn't charge up the batteries that much while on the move
From what people have said and searching the forum it looks like a good 12v battery soultion with the ability to pre-charge it before we leave and as and when we get a hook up may be the best solution.

congrats on getting 26X, a good solution for shore power is to install a "camping" mains unit from towsure or any other camping equipment supplier, this can be either installed into the boat or used as and when at a marina or other standard power connection.
