Boat is a Phantom, similar in both size and design to Sunfish.

Chip,

I have to smile when I see this picture.

A Phantom was the first sailboat I ever owned. When I purchased it in 1979 ($700.), I brought it home on the roof of a 1976 Volkswagen Rabbit! The boat at 14' 6" was considerably longer than the cars roof. It was like having an awning on the car. I transported it on that Rabbit for many years. Still have the Phantom.

You should have the rigging papers by Fri.

But do you still l have the Rabbit? :D

I should have also said, "Tows like it's not even there".

Interestingly, the center bunk fits the Phantom hull perfectly, but the front bunk has too steep a V for the Phantom hull. For a long distance tow, I'd think about a detachable adapter part for the front bunk.

I have a small utility trailer I used for years to haul camping stuff with my Mustang. Since getting the Mac we don't camp any more and it needs a tongue extension and probably the lighting rebuilt as it's sat in the woods for four or five years; & then I'll be able to pull the Phantom with the Mustang.

That's another winter project for when the Mac is covered with snow. In the meantime though it looks a little silly, the big trailer will work fine for about six more weeks when I'll have to pull the Mac from the lake.
