Masthead fitting, what's this?

Getting ready to buy a wind indicator for my '88 26D.
Could this be the bracket for a known brand ?

I’m afraid it looks to me like a custom DIY setup. You should be able to adapt it to the standard wind vane mount that comes with them. Looks like it was made to mount one of the many different electronic wind sensors available for mast-heads. Unfortunately can’t mount a mast head system on an M easily because the mast rotates so I can’t be sure which one or how.
