MacGregor 19 centerboard cable replacement

Hello,
My cable snapped. The boat is moored in the water. I have a replacement cable.
I can fish the cable from the cabin to where I can tell it is in the pulley.
I assume you have to go from underneath to thread the cable back up the tube to the cabin.

Has anyone replaced the centerboard cable in a 19 before?

Google searches only show for 26'ers.
