Just bought a 1987 Macgregor 25 HELP

So I just bought a 1987 Macgregor 25 Sailboat
It's in really rough shape.
I have never owned a boat before, I have no idea what to look for or what I should even be looking at!
I don't know what parts I need or where to find parts.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I was talking to purplethunder over on Facebook. i think he transposed the year 1987--- should be 1978.
It was in discussion over there that this may be a Catalina 22. Anyone know for sure?

That's a Catalina 22.

You can tell by the keel, and especially the way the cockpit winch is mounted. And the windows, and the pulpit.

Wheres the mast?

The Cat 22 was on my short list for my first boat, but ended up with a Siren 17.
