The Blue Angels will be performing on November 11 & 12, 2016 at their home-base in Pensacola, Fl. We are trying to put together a raft-up/rendezvous for that weekend, plus local sailing. The air show starts on Friday the 11th, also a night show and then another day show on Saturday the 12th.
I live over in Mobile, AL (about 60 miles from Pensacola by water). We will be departing our dock on Dog River (off Mobile Bay) early Thursday morning, the 10th. I doubt we will make all the way...so we will overnight/anchor somewhere along the ICW or nearby. Plan to be at the Ft. McRee/Sand Island anchorage by 10 AM on Friday the 11th. Early afternoon on Sunday, we will start back towards Mobile, AL, spend the night along the way and finish up on Monday the 14th. For traveling in both directions we will make a decision on whether or not (based on weather, wind and daylight) we will be sailing "inside" (ICW from Mobile Bay to Pensacola) or "outside" (Gulf of Mexico from Mobile Bay to Perdido Pass).

For trailer/launching, there are a lot of options around the Pensacola Area. The Gulf Coast Small Boat Map (in the original post) will show almost every available ramp and details.

Great! Our Saturday is shot due to another "all day" obligation. However, nothing for Friday evening or Sunday. We were talking about sailing on Sunday. Also, y'all are welcome to tie up at our place during your stay in L.A. (Lower Alabama). The water is a little shallow around our dock, but should not be a problem for your boat with the sailing rudders up. I could also provide a vehicle for you to use while you're in town. Cheap 100% gas is only 2 minutes from our home and I have transport cans available. I will PM you.
