Bimini Sliders

Post by Berber Boy »

On my sailing holiday last week I noticed a moored yacht about the size of a macm that had a slider on each Genoa track (car) that enabled them substantially more flexibility in putting the bimini where it was most useful The slider was essentially identical to the normal block sliders made by Ronstan but had a connection that would except the main bimini pole and allow it to be bolted on. Someone told me that Ronstan have stopped making them. Does anyone have any more information or has made the mod using the standard tracks that come with the MacM?

Appreciate your experience with this.

I ordered mine last summer from http://www.supersail.com/. I simply called and ordered a pair while on the phone.

Berber boy... IMHO give some very serious consideration to mounting them on the sides as another member did here... so as to allow the ue of the Bimini and his Main Sail..Very cool !!

Thanks Finallysailing,

That's what I needed to see. Hmmm! Quite technical but really seems a good approach and leaves the Genoa track for its real purpose.

Back to the drawing boards

Take a look at my "Special Deal" post in the general discussion.
