New Layout, opinions please

Ok I have talked before about changing the plywood in my boat and the layout of the boat, so here is two drawings that are starters for how I want to redo the boat. can I get your opinions on it? I want to make sure that I don't add any pressure point to the boat that would cause any damage over time.

I have been conversing with JoeVacs via email today and he has given me some great advice already. if you never checked out is restoration he did, then you should ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/25826781@N ... 736968896/ ) because it definitely gave me some confidence in the possibilities of my V21.

it looks like I will stick with the general idea of the drawings I have but I am not putting a cooler/livewell in the cockpit area. Everything else though looks like a GO for this winter. The Major changes will be the wood that I use will be all varnished instead of painted. Suggestions on wood type maybe? I was thinking a light wood and something hard.
