Tiller Replacement for V222

Post by gwjay »

Good Morning All;

I have a '71 V222 and I am need to replace the tiller. The wood is showing her age. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good source of stock wood, in the Maryland area, so I can make a new one, or a source just to buy a new tiller.

Thanks
Geoffrey

Have a look at what IDA Sailor has to offer.

I had one made from oak a couple years ago. Works fine.

Rudder for 1972 22' Mac

Post by jefscott »

I inherited this boat, but rudder/tiller is missing after it had previously broke off it's mooring ball. I'd like to construct a new one, but I have no owners manual or drawings to go by. Not sure the construction, but any help and/or copy of manual/drawings would be a gret start.

Thanks for any help - it's greatly appreciated.
