Post by 40Toes »

I am trying to find a replacement gaskets for the LPT12. I'll make it if I have to but I would like to get an actually replacement part. I found one site that sells them but they don't ship to Canada  . Does anyone know where I might find them? Thanks

40,

My gaskets went on mine also. I left the vent closed with a fairly full tank. I now only close the vents while sailing, and open them as soon as we are back at the marina where we slip the boat. I also make certain that whenever I add gasoline, I add the proper amount of fuel additive. I only once had a problem with water in the tank.

Mine failed also and I got water in the gas which plugged the fuel filter and it was a real mess. I ended up going to an auto parts store and buying some cork board (I think it was 1/8 inch thickness) and cutting my own gaskets. It has been working for the last couple of years now. No signs of cracking like the rubber gasket.
