You can't tell from this pic, but the aft has a laced up access also. Boat is very protected and I can get in from the transom periodically. I need to take a new photo because I also have my solar panel exposed to keep the batteries charged. Tired of taking them off each year.

I think it's a 20x30 tarp from the hardware store. 5 PVC pipes to make the tent. Some line to lace it under the trailer. Done.
The photo above is from previous year. I'm heading out there today to cover the boat. I'll take some new pics. The whole thing cost less than $100 and lasted 4 years. Would have lasted longer if I was smart and covered the stanchions with scraps of carpet so they wouldn't wear through.
Yeah, 20x30 seems to be the consensus. How think is it?
I did the PVC pipe thing last year - just had three places to put them. Where am I missing?

I layed a 2x3 on each of the two pairs of lifeline stations, with shallow holes bored into the underside to locate them on the tubes, then layed 2x3's on the mast, one length on each side of the steaming light, and used some more 2x3's to lay over them at each end. A screw in each end to hold them there, and it's ready for the tarp. I beveled the ends to soften the break a bit so they don't rip the tarp. Couple of Rochester winters so far, so good, but a more elegant hoop system would certainly shed the snow better.

You can easily see 3 in this photo, then there is one up on the foredeck. It tends to hang down over the sides. Then there is one in the cockpit. Gotta be creative in attaching those.
