A good time is when this blank stare comes across my face and I start muttering to myself. usually means Im overwhelmed. or drunk......
cant wait, we have to take some pixs for the rest of the Mac world on this site.

you know part of the fun of a cook out is cooking and I dont want to take away any ones fun. I will have plenty of food for everyone, but anyone wants to cook theres LOTS of room at the BBQ.
update: its Monday morning and I went over to the MDR temp slips and there isn't any available right now. Ill try and do it again Tues morning.
if I get one or not it doesnt matter, Ill just move my boat for space wed.
I did see "cease fire" Bill and Sues boat in one, so Ill call them see whats up.

yes mark there are more people going than responded on this thread.
My last count was around 30+ people. Im prepared for 50 food wise.
so this should be great. I do want us all to meet at least for dinner
at the same time 4-6 and since the amount of people might be higher than I thought at first I might just grab a bunch of parking lot out side the mast up to cook out. We will see play it by ear. Maybe if I can sweet talk
Mike Inmon to let me move his boat for a few hours in the mast up we can have two large spaces. More than enough room. Mikee can I move your new boat into another space for awhile pleaseeeee.

WOW....how can anything be more fun. Next year Ill have the county
who owns the mast up install grass and sand. The only thing missing
yesterday was the rest of you guys.....Thanks again Mark for teaching the
BBQ thing what a life saver you turned out to be.
Mental note for next year:
Two gallons of Jack Danial's
charge whaler battery
get my lips in better shape as they hurt now from so much laughing and smiling.
get new stories to tell
make sure I have two days off after to recover.

Thanks to Aya16 (Mike) for setting up a great BBQ and a good time with friends! (Mark - - you were good too). We heard good stories from very nice people (and we saw a not qute done yet main roller furler Mike Inmon ALMOST has perfected). See you guys on the water. Catalina trip is next (says Inmon).

Agree with all, a great time was had by everyone. Our most sincere thanks go to Karen and Mike who set the whole deal up. You guys are the best. We met a lot of new folks who share in a common cause, to have a good time on the water.
We hope to see all of you again soon.
By the way, I think I hear Two Harbors screaming for a visit.
We may go over this Friday (13th) morning, early. (75% chance as of now)
Anyone up for a "maybe" trip?
Bill and Sue

I too agree that was a good time. Mike thanks for all the hard work you and Karen put in. Bill & Sue thanks for the hospitality at the dock during the fireworks. Next year I have to get a guest slip as for Catalina on friday I have interviews at work but I might be around sailing on sunday when you get back.
Good sailing, Phil

Some of the posts of the after BBQ have been lost some how. But
all you guys were perfect Mac owners, meaning the kind of person that buys a mac seems to be decent relaxed happy people.
A big thanks to the women that jumped in and helped get things sorted out. A big thanks to Mark for supervising the BBQ cooking and head
burger flipper. (we only ended up with two Briggy hot dogs) burnt that is.
Thanks to Mike Inmon we had plenty of space, and those that I didnt think would make it (pokerrick) Im glad you and company came. We ended up only having one slip to go watch the fireworks thanks to Bill and Sue. But we piled on the dock all of us and got cozy and had a great time.
Patrick sorry I didnt connect at first when I first saw you and Sue. But Im glad you guys came.
The Boston whaler had a dead battery but Mark and I got her going and went for the ride to the slip. Of course we couldnt tell it was running because of the 1000 hp 28 foot power boat fired his engines up right near us at the same time.
Sail fish what can I say It was great to see you and your family. Boy can I relate to having an older bunch of kids yours were great.
Mark brought his kids and one says about 3 words an hour but shes real sweat, the other brought her boyfriend and he is a character (I like him)
I was able to bond right off with him. He kinda reminds me of me in my younger days. (watch out Mark keep an eye on him) Diane is the perfect
hostess (bet she can toss a party)
We even had as a topper a real English guy (mike) and his interesting girl friend (she worked for the Grateful dead) But a 4th of July BBQ is really great when an Englishman comes and celebrates with ya.
Rick and Molly the guest of Honers happily married now and Molly is
a wonderful tough girl. I think Rick she will let you wear the pants in the Family though.
Mike Inmon and crews seemed to have a good time and was able to
give insight on Mr mcgregor himself, Roger. But I have to believe that
roger does read this board some times and want him to know, if you come to one of these get togethers I promise you will be treated like one of the regular folks. I cant imagine you building these boats and you dont like using them some times. The people that buy your boats are down to earth decent people to be around. and no matter who you are in life Its
a real joy to be around them.
We broke the BBQ in real nice, it sure cooks good when someone knows what they are doing. Some of the guys started thinking right off the Bat how to mount it on the side of the Mac. (Mac mods) 150 pound three burner with a side cooker. Stainless steal. The only way I can see how to mount it is two, one on each side for balance.
Karen did a good job didnt she? Shes not much of a party animal but
she jumped in there and kept the kids supplied with toys (even the adults were playing with them) and cracked the whip on me a couple times.
(hey I wanted to socialize too)
all and all it was great and Catalina will have to have us all there soon.
I know I want to do this again and think we dont need a holiday for an excuse, so polish up those Macs and with at least 50 macs or more in the mast up area alone we can get a real flotilla going.
Besides we need new people so I can tell some of my old stories again.
Mike
OHH and if I left anyone out dont worry as the brain cells start to recover
Ill remember and add to this post.

I posted this the day after the party but it disappeared. Where do they go?
Here's some choice pics - the night pictures of the whole group on the dock were too dim to post, too bad. But check out this fireworks photo!

Next time we take photos of the girls we have to insist that they at least stand in front of one of the 50 Macs in the yard! Sorry I don't have more pictures but it's because I was cooking like 60 burgers and 30 hot dogs! Mike, did you end up with my old wood long-handled BBQ tool?
