I have heard people say that applying Sailkote to a hull without bottom paint once or twice a season helps retard barnacle attachment as well as improves performance. I have never tried it myself, as Sundancer lives on her trailer.

the previous owner kept our 26x in the Hudson River for a summer...was loaded with barnacles. We used that stuff...just be carefull... it does burn.

Three summers with E-paint...no problems anymore!

I looked at the product (On & Off Hull Cleaner that is) at WM. It recommends covering the trailer with plastic. And since I don't have a good place to do that work here I will just leave it for a while and do it back in Georgia or more likely down in Florida at my Dad's place after we move out of our house.

So if you see a König with a "dirty bottom" driving down I-95 on Wed and Thur just give a wave and say "Hi".

She will be all cleaned up and pretty before I put in storage for a few years down in Florida.

So long Hampton Roads. Thanks for all the great sailing.
