I've been searching for options to setup some form of self-steering for my 26S. Since the cheapest tiller autopilot is about 400, and a windvane isn't very practical for a trailer sailor, that seems to leave only some kind of sheet-to-tiller setup. Has anyone set up such a system on their Mac?

Jared,
Just within the past week, someone has posted a Sailing Class video that was taken on a smaller boat (maybe a Catalina 22?). Anyhow, among that series of videos, I saw one that demonstrated a sheeted tiller, permitting the crew to have lunch while the boat self-sailed. A very, very nice techinque~!

I got my Simrad TP10 from that link for $265 including shipping, but in the last month or so I have seen the same seller selling them for $225 plus shipping. Just keep froogling the Simrad TP10 from time to time and sooner or later you will get it cheaper than $265, though $265 plus shipping is still a lot better than most everyone else. I used mine the first time this past Sunday and it worked well.
