Anyone up for an informal MDR - Two Harbors, Catalina run?

Post by Hardcrab »

Two Harbors is calling. :D
Thinking about a Cat run leaving MDR Friday morning, May 18.
Returning Sunday morning, 20th. Weather permitting of course.
This will be our second run, (Thanks again, AYA16).
Anyone ready?

I'm trailering to Channel Islands and sailing to Anacapa Island this weekend. The afternoon winds will be perfect! Have a great sail!

Maybe next time, in June. PM me!

I hope everything is cleared up by the 18th. So far, it looks like the Two Harbors end of the island is upwind of the fires. A side trip to Avalon was in the plans for us, but now , maybe not.
No one up for a run yet?

Boy, what great weather for your trip. I am emailing you some pics I took from the island of your Mac. We took water over the bridge on the Island Packers boat trip back to Ventura after 1730 hrs. Post them on the site here if you like.

last time I saw a report, there was no power in Two Harbors due to the fire and it could be a week or more. Make sure to take everything you need!

Capt Steve, I'm on travel this week so I'll have to wait until I get home Wednesday or Thursday to open. You have photos of my boat? Cool!
Jetta01, I just heard the rumor about the power situation in Two Harbors too. Kinda takes the shine off of the trip a little, but, oh well. Maybe they have generator back-up for the beer coolers and showers ashore. We can always bring more ice and stink if we have to.
