Trailer Rental Needed DC/MD/NOVA

Post by ricklee_v17 »

Hey all,

I am hoping to buy a 26D this coming weekend but the boat has no trailer. I am not terribly concerned about owning a trailer right away but having one to get the boat from Havre De Grace, MD to Colonial Beach, VA would be really helpful. I have already planned the time to sail it down but if I could find a kind soul who has a trailer to rent to me for a day or two, I would prefer to drive it down.

Anyone in the DC/Maryland/NOVA area have a trailer that would work for this boat that they would be willing to rent?

Thanks,

Rick Lee

Try calling Capt Jim of A-1 Sailboats, the dealer in Mayo MD. He had a trailer for sale last year and he has dozens of Macs in the surrounding marina ... so I'd expect he's a good source of info at least. He's also at your halfway point. Look up on the Dealer Info page (see bubbles-left).

My 26D trailer is a 23' LoadRite single axle roller. At least this gives you another option if you can't come across a Mac factory trailer in the area.
