Suport this Website

Post by Bill at BOATS 4 SAIL »

I'm glad to see this site up again. I've learned a lot here.
A big thank you to Heath. He has spent a lot of time, effort, and money to keep this site afloat.
He can use our help. Go to "Support this Website", to the left, and make a financial contribution, as I did recently.

I agree! This website is an invaluable resource for about ANY sailboat owner (shhhh.........don't tell any of those wimpy displacement hull boat guys ;-) ) Not only Heath's willingness to try to 'herd cats" but also all the time and patience that so many you contributors provide. But all this expertise would be in 'solitary confinement' were it not for Heath's initiative for which he deserves all of our support. Hey !! Let's try to make this like a United Appeal Fund Drive campaign and raise some money for keeping this site going or even improving it. How about trying to raise........hmmmm..........say......$1000? If fifty folks chipped in $20.00 , we'd get there in a hurry. Heck, subscriptions to "Cruising World" or "Sail" magazines are more than that................and in our case, that's only about what it takes to fill up one of our 6 gallon fuel tanks. I'll start it off with $50. It's especially easy to pay for this if you have Paypal.............or credit card. Just click "Support this Website" at the bottom of the left hand column. And post a reply to this thread with what you contribute and I'll make one of those fund raising 'thermometers' and post it here as money is contributed. Or maybe I'll make it a 'sail being raised on a mast' instead of a thermometer !!! Now...........do you want to buy some of my daughter's Girl Scout cookies too? :-)

OK, we're almost to 20% of the stated goal..........we're at $160 right now. Your donations are wayyy ahead of me, I haven't had the chance to make a cheezy graphic of a sail raising up a mast towards the final goal. Maybe next week.

OK, as promised, here is the cheezy 'fund raising graphic' for our support goal for Heath's site. Pardon my Odin 820 picture but couldn't find any good side shots of my old Macgregor in my files. I We're now 26% enroute to the goal in less than a week. Keep tugging on your wallet halyards !!
