Post by aya16 »

sound good? Scott we are going to work you so hard...Ill help you though
Ill rent some gear there. This sounds like such a good deal as I watch shark week on the disc. ch. today. Im in for sure. I aint diving if scott doent go. Rich you can make it right you just have to leave thursday to get there. Its far enough away where everyone can cancel what ever plans they had before. last chance at the island for awhile.

Sounds like a great weekend. I'll see if my dive buddy wants to go so you won't even have to get wet Mike. Bag limit is 7 per license!

I have decided to make the last week of sept a special time off for me.
I will be going over to the island wed or thursday before the 30th sept.
I will bring the whaler for those that want to dive. But that week will be
a very relaxing week. I will be unwound settled and in nooooooooo hurry
come the 30th. There will be lots of time to read a book, fish, have a few drinks, bond with Brigitte, explore, sail. infact the whole month of sept. is going to be booked. but fun.
Im starting a dove/ Javelina hunt trip from the 30th aug to nevada or arizona. if I can find a place to hunt close to vegas Ill go to nevada and pick up my nephew. I have hunted arizona a few times and never was disapointed.

I have a ton of stuff to do to the house and will start after I get back from hunting.
everyday except sat. and sunday's Ill be sailing every week end in sept.
the last week in sept will be just for catalina, maybe shoot over to Santa Barbra Island after everyone leaves Catalina. Sail home tuesday or wednsday. I have been thinking about Catalina trip the 30th all week and just flat took a month and a half off work. Because I just dont want to go back to work nor hussle out of work to go on this trip so off Iam.
Any one want to join me in Catalina starting wed or thursday before the 30th your more than welcome, I will be crossing by myself and karen will meet me that weekend. If others want to go across with me we can leave when ever you want wed or thur. morning noon or night of wed. I wont cross at night by myself in my boat without another boat, but if another boat wants to go ill do it. If someone wants to cross and go at night then we need to get ready early, find some lights to put on your pfd's, and whistles, show your crew how to turn them on and we stay together all the way over. Its safe but we need to be ready for a man overboard in a diff. way then in the day time. We will go slow and easy. Ill take the lead
so if I fall over someone can pick me up. Ill have a water proof vhf on my person too. We will go over the safety stuff before we leave. Like if there is a man or dog overboard we have to shut down all the engines and stereos fast. push the man overboard button on your gps. Things like that.
I have crossed to the Island many many times at night and its peacefull and safe. We just have to be on top of things all the way.
I hope many of you can make the bug feast , I hope at least one other boat would like to cross at night.
