Venture 17 Gooseneck Toggle

Post by ricklee_v17 »

Hi,

I am getting ready to take my Mac 17 out for a shake down run this
weekend and was looking over the hardware to make certain that I have
everything from the previous owner. In looking everything over, I
found that the gooseneck toggle on the boom instills little confidence
from me in its ability to do the job.

The toggle consists of two (thinish) metal plates that are curved to
wrap around a .25" x 1.75" bolt in the gooseneck. The plates are
tensioned around the bolt by a 1/8th inch and nut.

This may be a perfectly acceptable method, but this is not something I
have encountered before.

Any help?

Thanks,

Rick
