Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke LS electric start.

On Monday I will be purchasing a 2004 Yamaha 9.9 with less than 20hrs use for 2000$ CAN.

Can anyone please give me a little feed back on this Yamaha OB?

I have a Yamaha 9.9 hp on my 2000 26X... It works great and is real quiet. Believe it or not, the high thrust 9.9 hp almost puts the 26X on a plane (without the water ballast).
I was sailing today, on Lake Superior (Bayfield,WI. )... With the 9.9: the boat sails very well (Ok, boys, I sail this boat light: I have 2+" of white below the black stripe at rest). I passed several other boats (larger sailboats) in 10-15 mph wind... Without a heavy motor, the boat moves and sails well. I've sailed for 20 years , so I can trim the sails..... We had a large weather front hit us: the 9.9 moved the boat well thru the heavy waves...
