Fuel Tanks -- Duratank (using search engine)
I have tried numerous wordings for my search from simple to elaborate and cannot find the thread about installing 4 fuel tanks on 26 M's. Several search attempts gave over a 1000 post for me to sift thru and to be honest I quit early on . So what might I be doing wrong ?
Search found 732 matches.
That time my search was for : "4 fuel tanks"

See if this is the link that you're recalling. Moderators recently discussed the Search function. Apparently it cannot index numbers, so your numeral 4 was ignored.
I searched on [OMC fuel tanks], "all terms" and got 11 hits. Try that search for another ten good discussions.

Thank You Gentlemen
Catigale thanks, I did find Rich's Mod and after mouth to mouth was administered for the $65 " PER " Plastic Fuel TANK!! I was able to continue looking . . .but to no avail . It was (the thread) That Frank linked I was looking for I do believe . So Thanks to you both for the help and it does appear persistence and consistence seems to be the key to the search feature .

I found the OMC tanks for about half that - $70 for two - way back when. However, since the OMC bankruptcy it's been very tough to source them. Thre are two others that fit the 26X lockers, and should also fit the M. Try Google for the Valu-6 by Tempo, or the Neptune tanks.
IdleTime - what's the prob about great loop? I searched "all terms" for [cruising great loop]. The search engine skips the word great (reason unknown), but it still found a reasonably slim list of 15 threads.
Hint: if the Search engine finds too many hits. click on any one of them and look at the URL to see what terms it used. If you used only [great loop], it dropped the "great" and returned a gazillion hits. Then just change your search for some other words that might target your objective.
Just guessing that this is the one you had in mind?

When I read these pages it is a huge turn off when members that have been posting here for awhile tell the thread author to "use the search feature". I could understand offering the author a link to a previous thread and suggesting that there are many more but the posts that just seem to desire to shut down another person's discussion just comes across as rude to me.
The responses in this thread are as it should be, helpfull.

If it is a huge turn off for you, by the way I answer a question, and it comes across as rude to you, don't read them. I don't know how to do links. I don't type very well.Helaku wrote:When I read these pages it is a huge turn off when members that have been posting here for awhile tell the thread author to "use the search feature". I do know how to do sail slugs correctly.
I dont know if you have ever posted what I said? Do you think just telling someone who took the time to think of the problem they are experiencing, decide to phrase it so that you could understand it, and then wait for someone that might be able to tell them how to address the problem to "use the search feature" is any help to them?Bill at BOATS 4 SAIL wrote:If it is a huge turn off for you, by the way I answer a question, and it comes across as rude to you, don't read them.
