When you get stuck, people I don't know offer help. But you get more help when you have a white hull- just kidding.

Crackles, white hulls need more help  .

I must admit, even though the blue hull is faster, I would buy the white hull next time. Every mark shows up on the blue hull.

Remember me? I'm the new kid on the block. I need all the help I can get.

I will admit, I like the look of the blue. My budget didn't go to a new boat so I had no choice of hull colour. Still, very, very happy with my white one.

When showig the boss over the-then proposed purchase, I also showed her a much older, come to think of it, blue hull, New Zealand made boat. Guess what she said. " I like the white one". Funny that !

If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten the white hull. The blue hull has great curb appeal, but I am going to have to do lots of buffing this winter to get the scuffs out.

...Randy...or get better at docking....

I love the look of the blue hull - maybe you could order the blue hull with the white protective cover for the first year or two, which then sloughs off for that extra knot of hull speed.

For some of the newer members, when the M was released a few years back you could order it in either white or blue hull, as you can now.

We had a fairly long tongue-in-cheek thread about various physical reasons (Corilios force, Planck Law, Ultraviolet Catastrophe etc) why the blue hulled boat was faster...

Buy what you like, paint it if you dont.....

I would add good residual value to the list. Seems to me for a depreciating asset the Macs do pretty well. Even though there's plenty out there, they don't seem to drop as quickly as some boats.

Bought my :mac19: in '98 for $7,200 -- and I suppose I could actually break even on it today. :) Of course, that's no factoring all the money I've spent on it as of late....
