Any MacGregor's in Arkansas???

Post by taberahkj »

Im just getting into sailing and im really interested in purchasing a Mac. I was wondering if there are any Mac's around central Arkansas, so I could mabey meet up and look it one in person. It would really be nice to go out on one to see how it sails. Thanks in advance.

taberahkj,

Welcome to the Mac site. You will find TONS of usefull information here. Your approach is exactly right in my humble opinion (IMHO). Check out the Macs, get to know folks that have one and talk to them and have them take you out. We Mac owners love our boats and I bet you can find someone to take you out for a sail for dinner or a few beers, as we love to let others know about boats. If you were in Ca, I would say "when are we going sailing?"

Enjoy the learning process and don't feel rushed. Take your time (if you can) and soak it all in.

taberahkj,

I bought my Mac from a dealer in Little Rock named Jim Allred. Call him 1-800-542-3561. I bought mine at the end of 2001 and I think he kept his Mac on the river in Little Rock. He would be happy to show you a new one and possibly get you out on the water.
