I like to support Blue Water Yachts when possible. However, shipping to Greece might be expensive.
I am sure you can purchase a mast hound locally. I found this one in Europe. Kurz has sourced one in Europe.

I installed a second mast hound ABOVE the forestay. This is necessary so it does not interfere with the head sail.
I have a simple line from the new mast hound above the forestay down to the bow pulpit where I tie it off with a simple knot.

Once you replace your bent spreaders with new straight tube, your boat will be strong and safe. You may be able to see the angle the spreaders are raked back.

Thank you @Russ for sharing these pictures. Your MacGregor is in a really good shape :) and I like the idea for the extra safety.

I ordered yesterday from Blue Water Yachts the spreader and several other small things.
You are right! I want to support too. It is really great that we have the possibility to order the original ones, even if it is more expensive for me becauses of shipping and custom clearance I prefered it to do it this way.

I will keep you updated, as soon as they will arrive and when I will the adjustments.

Thanks a lot again to all of you!!!

Good to see you are repairing your spreaders.

Now is the time to learn how to lower/raise the mast. Once you master that skill, you will feel more confident.

Hi everyone,

Wanted to give you a little update about my detailing :)

I am sending you some pictures after using the Meguiars Oxidation Remover. This product worked really great. I found it better than the products that I have from 3M.
Sending you some pictures about the progress. There is still a lot to do and I have to use the Polish and after that I want to wax it or use a Ceramic Spray either from Meguiars or from Turtle still think what to buy. I keep going and will keep you updated :)

Furthermore I want to ask you two things:

1. Is there everything I have to do for the toilette? The toilette has never been used, do I have to change or maintain something?

2. Today the owner told me that the outboard motor doesnt turn so far on one side, he said that it is not much just a little bit. Do you know what I could change on the construction or what I have to adjust so that amount of turning to the left and to the right sight will be the same?

Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, but thats almost 20 years old. Check all the seals. Might be worth replacing it simply b/c of the age. 8)

This might help with the head

https://www.waterwayguide.com/knowledge ... rine-heads

This site has the manual for your head

The next question is where is the holding tank and how is it pumped out? It looks like it is in the v-berth area.

What is the turning difference with your motor? Can you show a picture of the motor turned in both directions?

Thanks for replying me.

Actually I am waiting to check it as soon as the license of the boat is on my name I will update you.
Maybe another question:
Can you suggest me a rigging hose adapter that will fit for the boat? I dont like how the mechanic fixed this :(

Thank you in advance

I'd look for something similar to the cable boot that came on the boat.
