26x under stair bilge
I have a version of the 26x where the vent is under the front bunk . However under the stairs there is a small hole and there seems to be a point to collect water where I can’t seem to find and remove . Any thoughts ?

Re: 26x under stair bilge
If you happen to have water in the cabin, that little hole will drain it into the bilge (I think...) The lowest part of the bilge will be under the galley or back seat, from whence you can easily sponge it out--or use a sump pump.
I guess it's more convenient to collect spillovers in the bilge than flop around in the cabin, in water up to your ankles. But that's just a guess. I have that hole, too, even though it is right under the step, in the back; a different configuration

Re: 26x under stair bilge
The purpose of the hole is not to drain water into the bilge, it is to let you know you have water in the bilge before it gets too deep. Water in the bilge will come out of that hole long before it's deep enough to be a danger. Without that hole the water would have to be deep enough to come out through the aft berth hatches or over the bottom of the galley door before you knew it was there.

Aaah, makes more sense now. Fortunately for me, it was always the other way around
