New cockpit cushion covers - 26M
Anyone knows a good place to order new cockpit cushion covers that would cost less than $500?

When you find it lemme know. I’m looking at $1500 to $2000 to get my interior cushions recovered... and I would like cockpit cushions too.

I had mine made. I bought some open cell foam (water runs through) and Sunbrella. Cut the foam with an electric carving knife and had a local place cover them.

Somewhat similar to Russ, I had mine made.
I taped together some large brown paper bags, the type one gets in a food store to pack groceries. I then traced the outline of the cockpit seats. After discussing with the upholsterer how much fabric I needed, I purchased marine grade Sunbrella. The upholsterer had experience with marine upholstery, and said I don't need open cell foam; the Sunbrella works that well, and closed cell is firmer. I listened to him, and do not regret it. That was fifteen years ago. The cushions are still great. My cushions are black, and do not get hot in the sun. They are not as black as original, but charcoal looks fine
I had back cushions made also. I still get compliments about the rich look of those black cushions in the white cockpit, of a white and black boat. The bimini is also Sunbrella marine grade black.
I emphasize marine grade because Sunbrella make many grades of outdoor fabric, and one of them is described as marine grade. The stuff is not inexpensive, but well worth the cost in the long run.
P.S. I had mine made with welting. If I remember correctly, Russ did also, but regretted it later. I might be wrong about that. I never had a wearing problem.

I think going to the local alteration specialist should do the trick.

Re: New cockpit cushion covers - 26M
I can't remember the cost. Probably $250 range for it all.
I love the look of Ray's (Niceaft) black cushions so I went with black Sunbrella. Well, not exactly. Sunbrella had a slightly charcoal version fo black so I went with that. Strangely it's a lot hotter than pure black of my bimini/sail cover/dodger. So if you do black, to pure black.
Some background. These are the second set of cushions I've had made.
As Ray stated, marine-grade, thicker Sunbrella is different from softer grade.
Our first set of cushions were about pattern and used softer Sunbrella and piping.
It seemed to shift and make them look weird. I was constantly "adjusting" the covers so the piping was even. I think part of that was the fabric was too soft and shifted.
New (second time around) charcoal cushions don't have piping. I also added some batting to make them less flat and look more like upholstery cushions. I'll snag a photo later as the boat is at the house for now.
