There is a large loop in the aft berth to allow for the multiple turns required. There is an s-curve from the remote to the down tube, a 90 degree change where it comes through the tube in the pedestal, then a 90 degree turn to starboard to get to the tube that goes into the engine well, and finally another 90 degree turn to connect to the engine. There might even be be a couple more
You can use adhesive zip tie anchors and zip ties to keep all of the wiring coming out of the pedestal close to the ceiling of the aft berth. Attach the steering and shift cables first and then use them as an attachment point to run any electric. You will need a fairly large loop at the engine to allow for steering and tilting otherwise you will kink the cable right where it goes into the engine.
The cleanest and shortest run would be from a horizontal remote straight back to the engine but I could not get that to work without the cable being in the way when walking around the pedestal.
Get the best cable you can. You will be glad you did.
