There's no prize for first-class shape. In previous years, I've seen home-made 12', two-masted schooners and people having a good time. No judgment! I don't recall what B.E.E.R. actually stands for, but the acronym is well utilized. I'm just hoping its as good as I remembered.

Kind of like the '60s... If you remember the 60's, you weren't really there.

I remember the 50's (barely). I was too young to partake in the activities that would prevent me from remembering the 60's quite well.

About the same here... I remember being way too close to the TV (you remember... those big tubes that Dad said sent out dangerous radiation) all the time for Apollo... so too young for Woodstock.

First-class because I need to trailer the length of a big state. A trailer breakdown could ruin my whole day.

No kidding! Just checked... It's quicker for me to get there from North Carolina by over an hour.

I'm only 100 miles closer to Pensacola than you are. Florida is a strange state (in more ways than one ). It would be well over 1500 miles to drive the perimeter but no matter where you go you can't be more than 75 miles of the ocean.
When you factor in the numerous lakes and distances between bridges on some of the rivers it brings to mind the old joke, "you can't get there from here". It would be 100 miles shorter (though certainly not faster) for me to sail to Pensacola than to drive there.
