Note: the reviewer appears to not have read the manuals. If the batter is REALLY drained (>2 volts) there's a manual override button on the GB40 that needs to be used. None of the reviews show that being done. Just sayn'.

I also have a Battery Tender for maintenance (not for the Mac).
What tuned me into that company was a customer who collected Corvettes. He had ten that I saw. He had a Battery Tender for maintenance charging on each Vette.

I have used Battery Tenders on my entire car collection for over 10 years... and also on the Mac. They work very nicely.
I have a cheap super small jumper pack I got on Amazon. Have never needed it on the boat, but it managed to jump start my truck when it was -5f degrees outside. Quite impressive.
I put this in the category (like pull starting my outboard) of an item I hope I never need, but if I need it, I really need it.
