Intro Post

Post by pitchpolehobie »

Hello All,
Ive migrated my way over here from FB. Ive had a few other posts but wanted to intro a bit. I sail in central OH and have had my Mac for a full summer. So far I've really enjoyed it and learned quite a bit on rigging, repairing, sewing, outboard engine work etc. I've learned an immense amount from the forum and mod section here and appreciate how nice cordial everyone seems.

Gonna post a few pics of my 26x :macx:

Welcome to the forum.
Although, I see from your join date its belated. :) I also gather we might have a common upbringing... I have a couple of cracked ribs to attest to the vice's of a Hobie sailed with zeal. :D

Looks like you either purchased a beautiful specimen or did one hull of a good job refurbishing her.

Welcome!

Nice photos, I always enjoy seeing what others have done to their X. I really like your galley area; mine is still original.

yup, I signed up for an account when I got the boat but hadnt posted. The boat had sat for about 8 years out of the water and oxidized. Used the 3m restorer to tune it up. The sails were in really top shape overall I did just reinforce some stitching on the genoa's furling cover after haulout this year. Yea, I liked the hobie 16 but that boom makes all my passengers a bit nervous so I switched to the boomless Bravo.

That is a nice, clean looking interior. Doors on the galley look nice. Welcome and thanks for posting the pics.
