I am in ONtario, the surveyor pointed it out and listed the Ministry requirements for me. (for the seacock)
If you do not sleep in the boat, its not 100% needed.
Although, insurance said they would not cover a sinking/damage if that were to leak, in any way, regardless if I slept in it or not.
Insurance also wants an auto bilge pump.
Thats going in soon... not sure where I will put the outlet.

Can you glass in the original drain and add one or two above the new waterline? "New" because the stern is heavy, of course. Then you could use a proper seacock, and separate the two drain lines.

I put my bilge pump discharge as high as possible on the transom.

Don't think I took a final pic, but this is approximately where I located it. I figured my motorwell/sink drain was the most likely source of a leak, so my pump is located to tale care of that. Due to the ballast tubes, it will take a while before leaks in other places make it to the pump. But, it should by me some time either way.

Nice bilge install..

Did you use a vented loop? ( bought one just in case)
I have a 90 degree 1" thru hull on order.
was hoping to put it on the Port/starboard side of boat.
Not sure where the best location is.
Trying not to mess with the transom. Have a 75HP and lots of reinforcement that may get in the way.
(not sure)

No, but I did run a loop above the discharge point to prevent inflow from splash in a heavy following sea. I don't think a vented loop or sea cock is required if the thru hull is in a location that doesn't get submerged. But, don't take my word for it.

Did you go with the tube higher than the outlet? I had this factory installed... It took me years to check out that if you have waves from the back or motor backwarts the waves enter through the throughull and go on in the tube and the water comesl out of the bilge pump... this way you normalle do not want it ...

Yes, ran it as far up as I could get it. Then it loops into the through hull. I still need to test it through two cycles to see if i need to vent the discharge to eliminate airlock. Maybe I'll get to that tomorrow. Would prefer to use better hose, but the cheap stuff is easier to bend in tight spaces.
