Quick Question Regarding Swim Ladder Grab Handle on an X

I plan on putting a grab handle above the ladder where the helm seat is hinged. I see that there's a plug I can remove and get access to for a washer and nut but what about the bottom? Can I get to it from the back? Thanks in advance!

I had to cut an access hole. There's flotation foam in there that you'll have to remove. We put in one of those 4" screw out deck plates, like this: http://shop.bwyachts.com/product-p/h211-1v0.htm Even with the 4" hole, we still had to cut some of the foam to get it out. Of course, we put the foam back! Finished product looks great and it only took a few hours.
