The topic says it all, how do I paint the bottom of my boat on the trailer without painting the rollers or bunks? Plenty of boats are bottom painted but I cant figure out the best way to do it.
Any suggestions?

The easiest way will be to put your boat at a marina in a slip. Then take your trailer home and paint it.
Why do you want bottom paint on your trailer?

I secured the trailer then raised the boat. For that I made a flattened u shaped support for the aft with, after raising the boat on it, I secured on blocked.
Then I raised the bow. After finishing I removed the supports and painted the areas that were covered.

It's a pain, no two ways about it. I use a small bottle Jack and bricks. Use lots of wood to spread the load on the hull. The safest bet would be two jacks and a 6 foot long 2x6 that will conform to the hull curves. Last year I used one Jack to lift each side of the hull up. That was difficult with a small Jack. (I like the small ones since they are easier to move around. ) I'll try the two Jack system this year.

If you are near a ramp you could do as others have done. Paint the bottom minus where the bunks are. Put the boat in the water and reload it so that the unpainted areas are now visible. Paint them.

At home, the easiest thing to do if you are putting new bottom paint over old without a lot of prep work is to follow the above solution and/or what I did here...

... but only lifting one end or the other at a time. Raise and block the stern, then raise the trailer tongue giving you access to the rear bunk area. Then with the boat back on the rear trailer bunk block the front and lower the trailer tongue down to the ground and paint the front bunk.
If you have to clean, sand, barrier coat and then bottom paint I'd try and get the trailer out of the way, you won't regret it.
More on how I painted the bottom......
