I am Dave, the new owner of "Nice Aft". After some 4800 kms and 6 days of driving she is safely moored in skyline marina, Richmond, BC. I haven't caught up on my sleep yet. I am keeping this brief. Pics and adventure stories to follow.
So excited to be joining the noble ranks of Mac sailors!

I been watching Jeff Cote from Pacific Yacht Systems on YouTube the videos they are quite informative and would sure like to see the Solar panels and DC wiring for our Macs. I will be moving my solar charge controller wire from the ST Blade Fuse Block to a ST Terminal Fuse Block connected directly to the house battery as he mentions in one of the videos.

Dave. Deal fell apart on our new boat and I booked it back north. I will get you that sail bag next time I'm down, probably within month or so. Hope you're enjoying her

Welcome aboard Wind Rider! By all accounts you've managed to square yourself away with a great example of the breed. And Yukon Bob, you might take some solace in the fact that although that one prospect fell through as unsuitable, we're closing in fast on the season when real bargains start to turn up. My hunch is that you'll wind up getting even more bang for your buck, or looney, or whatever thanks to this little delay.

Ya, we're in no hurry to buy the wrong boat which is hard coming from the Mac. I still think they are one of the best boats for most waters and if we didn't double our family size we'd be content cruising it around for a few more years. Now I'm going to have to actually try when docking, and I'll have to wait for those pesky tides rather than just power up them, but as they say every boat is a compromise
