How many ID numbers on Macgregor25 (1984)?.

Does any body knows how I can Identify boat, Macgregor25 (1984) if its HIN on transom was erraised , as well as all tatoos and license regestation nambers. Is there any ather specific place to look for, like keel, boom, mast?

My X also has a tag riveted on inside the cabin on the port side on the seat top, just above the battery box

Hi Captain Sam: Are you looking at buying this boat. If you haven't I would be suspicious. Don't understand why anyone would obliterate hull ID #'s?? Don't know of anyplace else on the boat where #s exist. Not familiar with '84.This one could be HOT. Would be very hard to register. Where is Title? Just sayin'. Fair Winds and Full Sails...Old salt

I don't think 1984 had the transom tag. I believe the HIN was written permanently onto one of the stringers below deck, maybe by holes punched into the FG?

Altering it, removing it, covering it...these are all bad things to do.

Freedom is 1976 V-25 and has transom tag with ID stamped on. This is required by law for the very reasons I have stated. It would be like removing VIN #'s from a car. Just sayin'. Fair Winds and Full Sails..Old Salt.

Hi CaptainSam, My '84 only has it on the starboard side of the transom around where the ladder is mounted. It looks like 2 lines of Dymo-tape embedded in the gelcoat.

If that's the case, and if you haven't found the potential other location for the S/N, I'd call BWY and ask them if they know where it might be. If there is one, somebody has to know where to look.

And I hope it all works out for you. And the thief spends an eternity in irons, with flogging sails and an overflowing porta-pottie.
