The arch holders p/n is 6502-1M3. They only mention the spacers, but no description and no part number either. It might be worth giving BWY a call about it.
I've never heard of the socket inserts, I'm not sure if this is an issue or not with the arch. Or even if the short sockets have ever been an issue, they just look small, but I'm no expert.
The side walls on my don't have the indentation, so I'm not sure how a spacer would help.
Yep mine are flat too but I think that's part of the problem.
The Arch drawing shows the two vertical tubes as parallel. But the two mounting surfaces are not parallel they are further apart at the top (V shape). My guess is the Spacer is a wedge shape to support the V gap.
Does anyone else have experience of this?
This is what I did on my 2004 M that way T get a hand hold and Mast Arch. I used 1/4 in backer Aluminum . Sorry about photo I can not get them to rotate.
I can varify the quality of the oem mast arch. It's very very hard to drill. I'll probably fiberglass it onto the boat at some point since it wobbles a little bit. I think a larger diameter aluminum tubing would have a nicer feel and be stronger.

My new tubes r of smaller I.D. but same O.D. you,ll also notice mine r slightly curved backwards "a small bend in the middle" so as the mast arch matches the angle of my traveler arch http://i844.photobucket.com/albums/ab1/ ... 010012.jpg
my newer moded tubes r a very snug fit no slop but harder to fit & remove when necc , But mine r mostly a permanent fixture
High Higlander, yes I have your pictures from your previous post but on any of the pictures I have it's hard to see the tilt of the tubes.
My Mac does not have those half moon recesses in the fiberglass so I have nothing the locate the tubes into.
A side shot (taken from one mounting tube to the other) without any other items around would be helpful.
seems to me the lighter aluminium is a huge huge benefit, so far back, especially if you are going to do seats, or more structures. is it is cot thing, . or a rust issue or something else? please ed-u-ma-kate me.
