When I got back from the Keys at the end of January I didn't have time to mess around cause it was so cold so I :
1. Released my lifelines
2.Covered my boat with the old tarp
3. Made holes in tarp where the stations were
4. Taped bags over the stations to the tarp
5. Used my two towing straps to fix the tarp to the boat.
6. Tied and taped the tarp down to the bow

This is what it gives. No snow or ice build up from the bow to the cockpit even after rain, freezing weather and snow. The ice and snow just slide off.

Okay, I get a strong notion from this blog that snow is not good for the boat. I have never really seen much of the stuff up close, but I will indeed try to avoid it.

Bertrand,

A novel approach. If it works, even better. Do you believe you will be able to use the same tarp next year?
