Well I got the boat home , but of coarse not with a small set back. The trailer was a little rough but, I thought it would make it home. Did real good till about 50 miles from the house the right side spring broke tore the finder off and boat sat down on the tire a lot of smoke. Some damage to the boat but not bad some fiber glass and paint will fix that. A friend has a flat bed trailer he had his wife bring it, then the rain storm came and it rained and then rained harder and rained some more. when the rain did stop the boat and trailer would not fit on the flat bed trailer. So with some wooden blocks and ratchet straps jacked up the frame and blocked and strapped the axle to the frame . Made the last 50 mile to my yard and the axle broke, needs an new one anyway, but it is in the yard I got a shower and went to bed. I am now reworking the trailer new axle some frame reinforcement as a temp for short hall to local lake to learn to sail the boat. So I am going to buy or build a new trailer to go under the boat. I have some other things to do and a lot to learn, I believe I will like sailing and will be glad to get to the fun part . And I believe even with the trailer trouble I got a good deal on the boat $9000.00

Congratulations!

I've only had my :macm: for 4 months, so I'm new with it too. Get ready for the addiction and continuous purchasing which will run up the credit cards. :P

You may have a lot of work ahead of you, but when you raise the main an unfurl the foresail for the first time, you'll sit back and realize it was all worth it. 8)

Nice score and great attitude...you are going to like this boat

If you go the new axle route I think Champion in LA ( the state, not California) is hard to beat

I have a axle from my mac 2002 trailer just sitting in the barn. I live an hour from Lakeland in Frostproof Fl. Let me know if you want it, I removed it to put 2 axles under my trailer. It has been under the barn since removal.

This is really great. My favorite cousins in the whole world live in Lakeland. How's your sofa? :)

Thanks ris I have ordered one already be here in a week give me time to get some of the other things that need or want to do before putting it in the water . I am thinking of building a new trailer with two axle one with electric brake that I can remove to put in the water save some upkeep. I plan to put in on Lake Parker to learn and get used to the boat. Lake Parker is close to the house and has a good ramp.

That was a really good buy. Is the motor in good shape? Is it fuel injected?
