Launch/Dock checklist?
I am finally to the point where I remember to raise the outboard, rudders, and centerboard before removing the boat from the water
but has anyone crafted a handy check list for pre-launch (into water), pre-launch (from dock), and removing from water/trailering?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Launch/Dock checklist?
Yes.
You may have to do a serious search, but I do remember someone posting their checklist. This could be years ago

P.S. I found one. If this is not to your needs, either keep looking, or amend this one.

Re: Launch/Dock checklist?
I have developed checklists, but I do not have them online. I can send you the Excel files that comprise the checklists by email. I'll give that a go tomorrow.

I liked and remember something VKMaynard came up with (I'm not ripping this off!)
MR. CLB (Motor, Rudders, Centreboard, Ladders, Ballast Valve) i.e. make sure they're up!

Re: Launch/Dock checklist?
Sounds like a good idea
Don't know how many times I launched, and then, ah crap! Left the rudder pins in again
Forgot to take out the mast swivel stop pin
Forgot the wife in the car
And worst ever... forgot the beer!

Thanks Everyone. MR CLB is going to help me, guaranteed. For example - notice how I forgot the Ladder and Ballast Valve in my initial email

Re: Launch/Dock checklist?
I set up for launch a lot and things usually go well 99% of the time. This past weekend when I launched at Lagoon City to meet up with Beene I went to raise the mast, as I cranked maybe 2 or 3 turns the mast veers to the side and falls onto the starboard life along the cockpit. I immediately checked for broken lifeline, bent mast etc. everything seemed to be fine. I noticed the mast base about 2 feet above the deck, base seemed fine and then it hit me...I forgot to put the mast base pin in! Talk about a bonehead move!
After rigging the mast countless times over the past eight years, I had never forgotten the pin. I guess I was becoming complacent. Luckily no damage or injury. A lesson learned.

I Use it to keep the mast straight while trailering
If the mast turns while trailering, it will bend.
