BWY Steering Mod

Post by Hugh »

Finally got around to doing the Steering quick release custom steering mod.
Quick and simple job for a 60 ETEC.

Looks great. You will love it and wonder why it wasn't like that from the factory.

Thanks for posting the picture for the steering mod. I've been thinking about doing this to my :tat26: but wasn't sure if it worked well with the ETEC 60. Was the installation just a bolt-on affair, aka easy? Thanks again.

Robert;
It was easy.
Not sure of the :tat26: steering set up but on the :macm: wrenches, caulking and a drill. you'll need a partner to either wiggle into the stern berth to do some work or hold/turn a wrench topside.
If the steering mechanism is the same and in the same location go for it. As Russ says "why didn't I do this sooner"
