26M dodger

Post by andyman2000 »

I've been freezing my butt off the last few seasons and I just discovered dodgers. If anyone has them installed can you tell me how they are secured to the boat. Are they easily removable? And if so are they easy to setup?

Second, wide or normal? How much more coverage does the wide give you? Is it worth it? And finally does this get int the way of the main sails?

Lots of pics on google to check out.
M dodgers

If you go too wide (onto the side deck..if you can call it that!) you will have problems going forward.

no dodger should get in the way of the sail.. would kinda defeat the purpose of it! If it does..contact the shop that made it!

I made one for my bigger boat. came out great. a very difficult project for a DIY'er though

Ours connects with with pins and snaps. Easy to remove, but not easy to store, so we leave it on. We have the narrow one and it works well to keep the hatch open in rain and blocks some wind rain. It will attach to the dodger which helps.
