Re: Weird
It looks to me like this boat may had been customized for river/canal cruising with some longer than 2 weeks live-aboard planned. The pins and the "fin" on the side may had been made for inflatable pontoons to give stability while on the water. Looks to me that these modifications are not for high speed. The boat may had been in Europe or UK canals.

Re: Weird
Looks modded for live-aboard. The side wings are to damp rocking. The enclosure is to add an extra room. The helm was moved and the engine removed to make coming aboard easier at the expense of moving it. The PVC pipe going to the bow is a head vent designed to take the smell as far away as possible.
Nothing but parts now. Bolting those side-wings on has compromised the hull beyond any re-use utility.

Re: Weird
Oh it can't be thst bad. Fiberglass is fixable.
That top cost someone some change though. They quite obviously wanted to go boating but not. Get. Any. Water. On. Them. That fin is for ramming manatees. After ramming, the helmsman could deploy the anchor to finish them off. No need to go forward. After a jolly fine day of running over protected marine mammals, the children, thus far confined to the fore deck, could use the unique side boarding ladder without interrupting the adults in the spacious cockpit where they were busy tending the early season vegetables. Those side fin things are actually the marine equivalent of running boards on pickup trucks.

Re: Weird
Could it be that the fin-like construction beneath the bow was meant as some sort of counterweight for a huge engine? The back of the boat looks like it's equipped for something enormous.

Re: Weird
Hello,
Just wanted to add, as a nurse I look at that open cockpit and wonder if some member of the crew may have been disabled in some way, lots of room to move around, yet no way to get up front on the bow, kind of safe.

Take a look at the PVC pipe from the bow, I do not see where it goes into the boat to act as a vent - really think it is for the anchor line. And I really hope the engine was removed since it actually still had value - to sell. Why am I debating this
