Is the 26X headsail identical to the 26M headsail?

Post by Kevin »

I got Dwen out for a nice day of sailing. I've been using the jib for sailing until today. Decided with the light breeze I'd try the genoa. First time I looked at it.

The bag is marked genoa 26X.

It fits but should I have any concerns? I don't really care what the bag says if the sails are identical otherwise.

Does anybody know if there is a true 26M genoa?

well, the mainsail is marked 'M' :D , but I don't think that's what you are getting at. I think I see more genny's than jibs here on the Indian River ICW, and with roller furling, I think you can roll-up to a jib sized sail shape anyway.
