Re: Egmont Key or Caledesi around Christmas
So far I'm thinking about St Joseph's sound around Sunday Dec 21, campfire on the Jama II spoil island that night, then head to Caladesi marina on the 22nd. Obelix, I wonder if this is the pic you took the last time I was at Caladesi marina.

This one is from Egmont Key though...

To give you an idea how long ago that was though, I'm teaching the girl in the pic how to drive a car these days...
And here we are out on Jama II last February...

bummer...and I would really like to sail Charleston one of these days myself
The WCTSS has a cruise planned to the 10,000 islands (between Marco Island and the Everglades) on Jan 8-11 but maybe that is too soon for you.
I haven't decided yet if I''ll join that one yet but I had a great time on that cruise in 2014...see my trip report here:

We were talking about doing something around that area 12/25-12/30.... we were looking at the city of Dunedin marina as her mom lives within a mile of there and we could kill two birds with one stone (visit the MIL for the holiday and take the boat out!!)
Please keep me up to date with your plans as I would like to meet up
Mike
