Question about White board under seats
Does anyone know the technical name for the white board under the seats covering the compartments? (PVC BOARD?) I am looking for something similar for a project on the "M"...I will fill you in later if it works out...

Matt,
Why not just take one to a Home Depot or a Lowe's, or both, to see if one of their people can identify the stuff?

Over here it's called Polyethylene (HDPE) board and is marketed under trade names like Uniboard if that helps.
Here is a US supplier

Also "starboard". Or you can get a suitable product called Azek, or Certainteed (it's PVC, I think) at building centres, if you can find a dimension you need - it comes in various thicknesses. It's used for trim and fascia on higher-end house construction, works like wood, but it's rot-proof, paintable, and lasts forever in extreme environments (like on a boat).
It's "piqued", Ray.

Re: Question about White board under seats
Many folks use cutting boards, which can be much cheaper the 'Starboard'. But do be aware that most of them are polypropylene and don't work as easily with power tools, as it melts when cutting. The translucent ones seem to mostly be polypropylene, and the solid white ones, at least the ones I've cut up, were polyethylene and were easy to work.

Yea, that stuff is pretty fragile and flimsy. I broke one in the v-berth and replaced it with plywood.
Also curious about this project.

Re: Question about White board under seats
I should add that the boards under all the cushions in my
are some sort of tempered hardboard, if memory serves. They're not plastic/synthetic by any stretch, and they're all pretty flimsy. I've got other things to work on before replacing them, so I just turn them over when they sag too much, but they do (barely) what they're supposed to do, which is keep the cushions from falling into the hole.
