Sad passing of a Mac Brother

Post by Devocean »

Hi all. It is with sadness that I inform that we lost a member of our boating family . Bob MacWilliam of Macca's Dream :macx: in Australia from a short but challenging illness. Most of you will remember Bob as 'Aussie Bob' on this site as he made and supplied fiberglass mods for some of our boats .Bob passed away on the 15th Aug . R.I.P . sail on Bob.

Is there (if you know), a funeral web site for condolences? :(

Sad to hear. As mentioned above, is there an online site to express condolences?

Very sad to hear. I'll let Heath know as well.

My condolences to his family.

BTW, I believe his last name was spelled McWilliam. For those who were unaware of Aussie Bob's useful contributions to the Mac world, here is the old catalog page:

http://www.macgregorsailors.com/catalog ... /index.php

(Note that these items are no longer for sale and this catalog page is not normally available on this forum site. I've brought it back for historic reasons.)

I pray he goes in peace - When I go I want a Nordic burial put me on a boat trim the sails and set it on fire. I am pretty sure I will settle for my ashes scattered on a reef. Let my remains travel in the currents and provide what nourishment they may.

Garry, please do let Trish know of this thread, when she's ready. I'm sure she will feel pride in Bob, knowing he was remembered well by others all over the world.
